IAME Series Germany to forge its own path in 2026

A major development is shaping up in German karting in 2026: Starting next season, the IAME Series Germany will step out of the shadow of a support series to become a championship organized independently. After many rumors in recent weeks, a concrete plan can now be announced. The main goals are cost reduction and more driving time for participants.

For the new concept, they have strong and established partners at their side and can rely on the internationally renowned organizer RGMMC, which organizes the most famous international brand cups. In addition, there will be close cooperation with the IAME Series Benelux to strengthen the exchange with neighboring countries and draw on the experience of brand colleagues. Guest starts between the IAME Series Benelux and the IAME Series Germany are to be greatly simplified.

There will be no change to the technical regulations: The IAME Series Germany will continue to consist of the X30 Junior and X30 Senior classes, and the IAME S125 engine will not be introduced. This ensures continued international competitiveness. New classes will be added to the well-known classes: There are plans to reintroduce the X30 Mini Swift and also to announce the KZ2 and KZ2 Masters classes. This means that all age groups and categories will be represented again in 2026, offering a well-rounded overall package.

The most important change is the introduction of the X30 Mini Swift category. The engine class, which is very popular in the IAME Series Benelux and Europe, is also being introduced in Germany. The engine, which has been known for years, is particularly convincing due to its cost-effective concept and is perfect for drivers who do not want to bear the costs of the Mini 60 class innovations in the coming year and also do not want to be dependent on the uncertainties. An engine buy-back program should also make it easier to get started and provide security after the season.

In addition to a race in Wackersdorf, an event in Mariembourg, Belgium, is already firmly planned. Three further events are in the planning stage.

The KZ2 Masters class will be run as a separate race to give the drivers their own stage alongside the KZ2. The regulations correspond to those of the international championships. For the KZ2, the tires from the current DKM season will also be used in 2026.
The schedule of events will change little. The three-day event focuses on maximizing driving time for the drivers.

Further information will be announced in the coming weeks and months and can be obtained from the organizer Manfred Brandl at the IAME Series Germany race in Kerpen this coming weekend.
